Vegetables
Garden Peas grown during the off season as a rotational crop. The crop is mainly sold fresh to local markets and institutions. The waste is used for fodder and compost making.
Sorghum – is a cereal grain that grows as tall as corn but has various uses apart from human and animal consumption. At our farm, we grow sorghum to improve our soils, and more importantly as a trap crop to divert the birds from destroying and eating other crops e.g. buds of our flowers and maize. Instead of harming the birds, we try to create a friendly environment for them and other wildlife, e.g. hare, Rabbits, Antelope and Porcupine.
Maize
Maize and beans are grown during the off season as a rotational crop. The crop is mainly sold fresh to local markets and institutions. The waste is used for fodder and compose making.
